Locations:

Teacher's Studio at N22 (North London)

At the private studio, lessons become far more efficient and enjoyable. Students can learn on one of the professional electronic or acoustic drum kits available, ensuring they get the full experience of playing on high-quality instruments.

Learning is also more fun and dynamic, as Alberto and the students can play together using different drum kits, creating a truly interactive and motivating environment.

Students will also have the opportunity to explore some of the best drum tuition books, selecting the most suitable material together with Alberto from a wide and carefully curated collection.

At the studio, learners step into a unique space that blends the atmosphere of a professional drumming studio with the warmth and creativity of a music classroom, which is an inspiring setting designed to bring out their best.

At your place:

Alberto is available to travel to North London areas such as Barnet, Camden and Haringey, depending on his schedule and the distance involved.
Please note that prices for home lessons may vary, as travel time and expenses need to be taken into consideration.

Students are required to have a decent electronic or acoustic drum kit for their lessons.
If you do not yet own a drum kit, Alberto will be happy to advise you on the best options for your budget and needs, ensuring you can start your lessons with the right equipment.

Please bear in mind that for effective learning, it is important to create a dedicated space where the student and teacher can work together without distractions from the household or environment.
A drum kit should ideally not be placed in busy areas such as the living room or kitchen.

Parents are kindly asked not to interrupt lessons for feeding, supervising, applauding, or filming children during the session. Such distractions can disrupt the learning process.
Additionally, interrupting the teacher to offer teaching suggestions or advice may result in the termination of lessons, as this prevents a productive learning environment.

Learning the drum kit requires concentration and patience. It is one of the most challenging instruments to master, as students must learn to coordinate all four limbs to create music. A calm, focused environment makes all the difference.

Online:

For online lessons, students will need to download the Microsoft Teams platform.

If you choose to take online lessons, Alberto will send you the necessary PDF materials, which you will work through together during each session. He will demonstrate the exercises and rhythms, and you will then practise them with his guidance. All lessons will be carried out using a metronome, so please download any free metronome app of your choice.

When helpful, Alberto will also send you a follow-up video after the lesson, highlighting the key points you need to focus on for extra support.

You will have the option to send him videos of your playing at any time during the week for live feedback. Communication for lesson materials, videos and questions will take place conveniently through WhatsApp, where you can also share your progress.

Alberto’s experience with online teaching dates back to 2020, and he still teaches several of those original students today. Online lessons offer a simple and effective solution for anyone who wants to learn percussion but finds distance or travel inconvenient.
